The Santa Lucia Preserve is a private community, nature conservancy, golf club, and ranch club dedicated to appreciating and respecting the area’s natural beauty, geography, history, and cultural setting. The Preserve's 20,000 acres are home to a lively community of just under 300 families and a team of talented staff. Our Gatehouse at 1 Rancho San Carlos Road is just a few minutes from Highway 1 in Carmel. A scenic private road takes you into the heart of The Preserve in just 20 minutes.

SUMMARY
The Santa Lucia Preserve is hiring an associate-level Marketing & Communications Coordinator to provide support to the Sales & Marketing Team by utilizing digital media skills and tools to market internally to Preserve community members and externally to the public. This on-site, full-time position has a schedule of 40 hours a week. Must be able to work some weekends and holidays.

IMPORTANT
We are looking for someone who is creative and digitally savvy. Application must include a link to a personal website, online portfolio, social media account, or blog in the areas of photography, video, and/or design.

Internal Email Campaigns

Create and send email communications to internally market upcoming events and services to existing community members, as well as short-notice communications as needed

Coordinate with managers to secure additional information and approve drafts

Maintain email schedule, refining promotional needs based on current registration figures

Website Management
External website

Refresh pages, images, and copy as needed

Internal member website

Assist members and dependents with accessing the site and updating email preferences

Refresh pages, images, and copy as needed

Design web-based annual event calendar, updating as needed

Perform recurring audits of the webpages to ensure accuracy

Plan and send out app push notifications to drive member engagement

Social Media and Online Presence Management

Regularly research and refine our social media strategy

Create and implement a content schedule

Create and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn, with an emphasis on short-form video content

Respond to inquiries, comments, and reviews

Maintain awareness of mentions, tags, geotags, and press features of The Preserve, responding as appropriate

Photography/Videography/Retouching

Provide photo/video coverage of events, tournaments, amenities, etc

Edit raw photo/video assets according to brand guidelines

Media Asset Management

Utilize and navigate storage servers, properly archiving assets as needed

Graphic Design/Video Production

Design and update various brochures, pamphlets, packets, programs, menus, etc.

Design and update graphics for use on website and internal communications

Design various branded apparel, products

Help with or single-handedly produce various video projectsField all internal inquiries from managers and staff, promptly responding to and tackling requests, or escalating to Manager level when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

2–4 years of communications and/or marketing experience preferred

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Ecosystem, including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, InDesign, and Premiere Pro

Proficiency with Google Office platforms

Experience with website content management system, CRM, and Marketing Automation tools desired

Ability to quickly pick up skills to utilize new online platforms and digital tools

Experience in social media management, specifically Instagram Reels

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail

Highly responsive and customer-service oriented

Ability to problem solve and address conflict in a professional manner

Proactively manage multiple projects under tight timelines

Fluency in English required

Driver’s license required

Fluency in Spanish a plus
