This person will come with a deep passion for volunteer service, our Brooklyn community, and working with youth and families. We are searching for candidates that exude positivity, can be flexible and nimble, enjoy working with youth and managing events, and are true go getters.In this role, you will lead groups of youth and families in volunteer projects. Main responsibilities:-Prep work for volunteer sessions before volunteers arrive

-Greet volunteers with energy and enthusiasm, take attendance.

-Provide a meaningful overview of the service project (provided to you prior to the project)

-Engage volunteers and help get them started

-Troubleshoot issues as they arise and resolve conflicts

-Maintain a safe environment for all

-Take photos throughout the experience

-Some projects may have a delivery element (which will be communicated prior to the project)

-Provide written update of the service + photos to ED immediately following event.If desired, the Program Coordinator can also get involved in a variety of other TSC work such as program development, inventory management, social media, marketing, accounting, etc.ExperienceWorking with youth/children, teacher-in-training or certificate preferred. Teachers are encouraged to apply!Compensation

Program Coordinator is a part-time, hourly position. Compensation is $30 per hour.

You will be expected to submit a timesheet directly after your shift. You will be paid by our fiscal sponsor, The Fund for the City of NY via direct deposit bi-weekly.### About UsThe Service Collective organizes Brooklyn based service projects for kids, teens and families.
