Program Manager, Communications

For our client, we are seeking a Program Manager Communications to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will drive complex programs from planning through execution with a focus on structure, accountability, and measurable delivery. You will work across business leaders, delivery teams, and strategic partners to align priorities, manage dependencies, and keep initiatives on track. The position offers the opportunity to bring clarity to complex work and deliver outcomes that matter across the organization within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.

Location: New York City, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $255,000 – $320,000 annually

Responsibilities

Run the operating rhythm for major campaigns including planning, prioritization, and retrospectives

Translate ambiguous projects into clear workstreams, owners, timelines, and decision points

Serve as a strategic thought partner by bringing recommendations and driving decisions

Build alignment and accountability across cross-functional partners without formal authority

Anticipate and resolve operational bottlenecks, often with compressed timelines

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in program management, communications operations, or a closely-related discipline

Deep understanding of how communications functions work including campaign building and media moments

Proven ability to lead complex, high-visibility programs under pressure

Experience with high-growth teams requiring scalable processes

Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across various functions
