Provide clinical and/or administrative supervision to a dynamic team of professional and paraprofessional staff. Assist in overseeing day‑to‑day operations and oversight for agency programs, including PROS, Employment Programs, Patient Navigator Program, and Veterans Program.
Educational Requirements
Master's Degree in a health‑related field; Social Work Degree preferred.
Experience Required
5 years of experience in a mental health–related field, 2 years of experience supervising staff in the healthcare field, knowledge of behavioral health issues.
Duties And Responsibilities
Involved in oversight of day‑to‑day operations of multiple programs to ensure that program duties are being carried out and all agency and program protocols are being followed. Programs include:
PROS - structured day program for individuals with behavioral health disorders
Employment Programs - assists individuals with behavioral health disorders in finding competitive employment in the community
Patient Navigator - assists individuals in applying for insurance through the NYS Marketplace
Veterans Program - provides Veterans with peer support and linkages to community resources
Participate in the recruitment, hiring, training, and ongoing evaluation of staff under the supervision of the Director. Provide guidance and support to staff as it relates to their job descriptions, oversight of compliance with standards, oversight of their productivity, and training needs of staff through ongoing supervision.
Assist with the agency's responsibility to adhere to regulatory and funding agencies requirements by participating in appropriate and prompt record‑keeping procedures, which may include but are not limited to:
Review, develop and interpret quality assurance standards.
Maintain current regulatory guidelines for program and monitor program activities against these guidelines.
Prepare statistical and narrative reports as required.
Develop and coordinate processes for data collection, tracking and reporting; communicate data results within the agency and to external funding sources.
Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote agency programs to community partners and individuals in need of services.
Involved in maintaining accurate billing for services; review billing regularly and communicate with Director and Finance Department regarding billing needs and concerns; work with Director to develop ways to optimize billing in accordance with client needs and program protocols.
Help develop and maintain evidence‑based protocols to be used by staff in facilitating PROS groups.
Provide direct services for PROS clients while carrying a caseload; follow agency and program protocols for these services as it relates to documentation.
Participate in all required internal and external meetings that appropriately represent the needs of the client and the agency.
Provide on‑call, after‑hours assistance for emergency situations.
This position will be required to be on‑site at any one of the locations where services are provided.
Support the use of data in clinical supervision to inform decision‑making.
Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals.
