Senior Director, Digital Marketing
Activision is seeking a Senior Director, Digital Marketing to lead digital strategy and audience engagement across the Call of Duty franchise, including annual premium releases, Warzone, Call of Duty: Mobile, and live seasonal content. This role will serve as a Head of Digital for the AAA gaming franchise.
Reporting to the Vice President, Brand Marketing and Live Services, this leader will oversee a multi-disciplinary organization spanning social media, digital marketing, content strategy, lifecycle marketing, CRM, and audience engagement. They will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and operating model that connects millions of players with the franchise across every stage of the player journey, from acquisition and launch campaigns to long-term retention and engagement.
This role requires a strategic and creative leader with deep expertise across the modern digital ecosystem, including social platforms, content marketing, lifecycle marketing, creator ecosystems, emerging technologies, and audience growth. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building high-performing teams, driving innovation at scale, and delivering breakthrough campaigns that generate cultural relevance and business impact.
The Senior Director will serve as a key partner across Brand Marketing, Studios, Product, Media, Analytics, Community, Regional Marketing, and external partners to ensure digital engagement strategies are aligned with franchise priorities and publishing objectives. They will champion a fan-first approach that strengthens player relationships, expands audience reach, and drives measurable business outcomes across one of the world's most iconic entertainment brands.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead the digital marketing strategy across all franchise touchpoints, including channel priorities, investment frameworks, and performance metrics aligned to business objectives.
Build, lead, and evolve a multi-disciplinary digital organization while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Lead digital strategy for launches and live-service initiatives, establishing scalable frameworks that drive high-quality execution and audience growth.
Oversee lifecycle marketing strategy across acquisition, engagement, retention, and reactivation, including segmentation, personalization, and CRM programs.
Partner with Brand, Product, Studios, Media, Analytics, Community, and Regional teams to align strategy, priorities, and execution.
Define KPIs and reporting frameworks, leveraging analytics and experimentation to optimize performance and connect marketing to business impact.
Identify emerging platforms, technologies, and audience trends while championing experimentation to advance digital capabilities.
Support prioritization of investments, resources, and initiatives to balance long-term capability building with near-term performance goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
12+ years of experience in digital marketing or audience engagement, with leadership of high-performing teams and global, consumer-facing brands
Proven track record developing and executing integrated digital strategies that drive growth, engagement, retention, and measurable business impact
Experience in gaming, entertainment, or similarly highly engaged ecosystems, with strong understanding of lifecycle and community-driven models
Demonstrated ability to operate across global markets and align regional teams to deliver scalable, locally relevant execution
Deep expertise across digital disciplines, including social, content, lifecycle marketing, CRM, and audience segmentation
Strong understanding of platform ecosystems, creator/influencer strategies, emerging technologies, and evolving consumer behavior
Experience integrating acquisition and lifecycle marketing with fluency in analytics, attribution, and performance measurement frameworks
Strategic, collaborative leader with strong executive presence, communication skills, and a track record of influencing stakeholders and developing talent

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $148,320.00 - $274,320.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
