Role Description
This is a full-time, fully in-office position based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area.
This role requires daily on-site collaboration with cross-functional teams. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position.
Goldkine is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented Creative Specialist to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in shaping and executing the visual and narrative identity of the brand across all touch points; from packaging and digital campaigns to in-store materials and product launches.
The Creative Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing creative concepts, ensuring brand consistency, and producing compelling visual and written content that aligns with Goldkine’s premium positioning. This role requires a collaborative mindset, hands‑on design execution, and strong project management skills to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative concepts across multiple channels, including digital, print, packaging, and retail environments
- Design and produce high-quality visual assets using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Lead and support packaging design initiatives, ensuring compliance, brand alignment, and shelf impact
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and operations teams on‑site daily to bring campaigns and product launches to life
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all creative outputs
- Create and refine compelling brand storytelling through both written and visual content
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Utilize Monday.com to track projects, timelines, and team collaboration
- Support reporting, organization, and asset tracking using Excel
- Stay current on design trends, cannabis industry aesthetics, and consumer preferences
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a creative, design, or brand-focused role
- Advanced proficiency in: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong experience in packaging design (CPG or cannabis industry experience highly preferred)
- Working knowledge of Excel for organization, tracking, and reporting
- Experience using Monday.com or similar project management tools
- Exceptional creativity with the ability to translate ideas into impactful visual and written content
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fully in‑person team environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting
- Familiarity with cannabis culture and industry trends is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or a related field preferred
Work Environment Requirement
- This position is 100% in‑office in the Detroit Metropolitan Area
- Candidates must be comfortable working on‑site five days per week
- This role is highly collaborative and requires constant in‑person interaction with creative, marketing, and product teams
