Begin Health is a pediatric gut health brand on a mission to help kids thrive from the inside out. We make science-backed pre+probiotic supplements for infants and children, and we've built one of the most engaged constipation support communities in the country — nearly 10,000 parents strong. We're a founder‑led, fast‑moving brand at an inflection point, expanding our product line and building the infrastructure to scale.
Role
We're looking for a commercially sharp, data‑driven Director of Ecommerce to own our full online revenue engine. This role spans our DTC Shopify store, Amazon and emerging retail marketplaces, paid customer acquisition, and retention marketing. You'll report directly to the founder/CEO and have broad ownership — this is a builder role, not a manager of legacy systems.
This isn't a process role. It's an outcomes role. The person who thrives here moves fast without sacrificing quality, connects channel decisions to business results, and holds a high bar for what good looks like — in the numbers and in the experience.

What You’ll Own
DTC / Shopify- Own site performance end‑to‑end: conversion rate, AOV, repeat purchase rate, and revenue per session
- Lead Shopify optimization including PDPs, bundles, site UX, and checkout — with a constipation support angle that converts browsers into believers
- Partner with creative on landing pages, A/B tests, and merchandising strategy
- Manage and grow our Amazon Seller Central presence — listings, A+ content, Buy Box health, Subscribe & Save, and advertising
- Evaluate and launch on additional retail marketplaces (Walmart.com, Target+, etc.) where the economics make sense
- Monitor competitive landscape, MAP compliance, and unauthorized seller activity
- Own Meta, Google, and emerging paid channels — strategy, creative briefing, budget allocation, and performance reporting
- Drive efficient new customer acquisition with a clear CAC/LTV framework
- Work cross‑functionally with content and community to fuel top‑of‑funnel awareness
- Own the full Klaviyo lifecycle — welcome flows, post‑purchase, winback, and campaign calendar
- Build segmentation and personalization strategies that drive repeat purchase and subscription growth
- Develop SMS as a retention channel with the brand voice that feels like a trusted resource, not a coupon blast
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8+ years in ecommerce, ideally in DTC CPG or health/wellness — you've seen a brand grow and know what levers actually move the needle
- Deep fluency in Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Meta Ads Manager, and Klaviyo — you can get in the weeds when needed
- Strong analytical foundation: comfortable in Google Analytics / GA4, comfortable building a performance dashboard, comfortable presenting data to a founder in plain English
- Paid media experience — you don't need to be a channel specialist, but you need to know how to manage agencies or contractors, read performance, and make budget calls
- Experience in a subscription or consumable category is a strong plus — you understand LTV‑driven thinking
- Low ego, high ownership. This is a lean team. You should be as comfortable writing a creative brief as you are reviewing ROAS by channel
