This role is responsible for compiling, reviewing, and submitting comprehensive First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in strict accordance with AS9102 standards. The ideal candidate will ensure that all outgoing shipments feature flawless Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and fully traceable raw material and special process certifications required by FAA regulations and major aerospace prime contractors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Compile AS9102 FAIRs: Author, review, and finalize complete First Article Inspection Report packages, ensuring absolute accuracy across AS9102 Forms 1, 2, and 3.

Traceability Verification: Audit manufacturing routers, material test reports (MTRs), mill certifications, and hardware certificates to ensure full chain‑of‑custody compliance back to the raw melt source.
Special Process Auditing: Validate and archive external supplier certifications for NADCAP‑approved special processes, including heat‑treating, plating, and anodizing, and non‑destructive testing (NDT).
Customer Portal Management: Upload quality data packages directly into aerospace prime portals (e.g., Net‑Inspect) and track submittals through to final customer approval.
Issue Certificates of Conformance: Draft and sign off on company CoCs, legally certifying that manufactured lots fulfill all contractual and regulatory clauses.
QMS Support: Assist with internal and external quality audits (AS9100/FAA), identifying documentation gaps and tracking corrective actions (CARs) when paperwork discrepancies occur.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 1–3 years of dedicated quality documentation or inspection experience within an AS9100‑certified aerospace manufacturing environment.
Technical Blueprint Reading: Advanced understanding of engineering drawings, sheet metal/machining specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Software Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with ballooning and inspection software (e.g., Discus, InspectionXpert) and digital submission tools (e.g., Net‑Inspect).
Regulatory Awareness: Working knowledge of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and DFARS material compliance standards.
Attention to Detail: Elite proofreading and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple high‑priority document packages simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
ERP Experience: Familiarity with Epicor ERP, including job traveler management, work order processing, and manufacturing documentation workflows.
CMM Report Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) reports, including understanding of measured vs. nominal values and out‑of‑tolerance callouts.
