Georgia Pacific is hiring Reliability Technicians with a Multi-Craft Maintenance skill set in the Printing, Packaging, and Plate Forming Press technology centers to join our Dixie team in Jackson, TN. The role supports 24/7 operations and requires flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
What You Will Do
Work in ways consistent with Principle Based Management and our Culture.
Proactively identify hazards and validate controls to mitigate risk and maintain a safe work environment.
Understand overall quality and product stewardship to execute maintenance and reliability strategies.
Perform work orders received from the planner, and close out finished work orders in the maintenance system.
Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance logs to include labor hours, preventive maintenance findings, QA/QC check sheets, and work accomplished.
Assist in the development and implementation of reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
Troubleshoot, identify, and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Utilize strong knowledge in electrical systems and instrumentation: troubleshoot and maintain 12.4 kV, 480‑V power distribution, 120‑V and 24‑V control circuits, PLC, variable frequency drives, and robotics.
Apply and teach simple problem‑solving methods such as the 5 Why.
Effectively communicate with the team using verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
Focus on high‑value work that may span multiple platform technology centers.
Know and understand all identified Key Performance Indicators and proactively execute action plans to close gaps.
Work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Maintenance and/or electrical experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment, or completion of post‑high‑school education in a mechanical or electrical maintenance program.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining medium and low voltage electrical systems and PLC systems.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
Experience reading and following electrical and/or maintenance schematics or blueprints.
Experience with the safe operation of hand and power tools.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
