Senior Associate, Technology/Media/Telecom

As a Senior Associate, you will:

Build and nurture relationships with junior and mid-level clients, positioning HSBC as their trusted partner as they progress in their careers

Support senior bankers in managing and growing connections with important international and TMT sector clients

Prepare and deliver engaging presentations and pitch materials that are customised to each client’s needs

Coordinate the origination and execution of a wide range of banking solutions, including Credit & Lending, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, Capital Markets, Transaction Banking, Global Markets, and Asset Management

Keep an eye on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market intelligence to spot opportunities and risks for clients

Analyse client portfolios, sectors, and competitors in depth, sharing valuable insights with both internal teams and external stakeholders

Guide, mentor, and supervise analysts and junior associates, helping them produce high-quality work and develop professionally

Make sure all activities comply with internal policies and external regulations, while maintaining excellent data quality in internal systems

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus.

Demonstrated experience training and mentoring junior team members.

Strong client relationship management skills, with a focus on building rapport at all levels.

Deep understanding of corporate banking products and sector trends (especially TMT).

Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing abilities.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Prior experience in banking, consulting, or relevant sector roles.

Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses required (or willingness to obtain within a set timeframe).
