Job Overview
This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill professional experts / hourly assignments on an as needed basis. Salary placement will be determined by level of skill/experience.
LEVEL 1
Reports to Executive Director or Campus Operation. Level & provides essential labor for event setup and safety without duplicating classified maintenance or custodial roles. Supports student engagement and campus life activities.
Scope of Work: Entry‑level support for PAC and campus events (performances, banquets, conferences, workshops, meetings).
Technical Support: Assists with lighting/sound under direction.
Front‑of‑House / Ticketing: May serve as usher.
Stagecraft / Backstage: Deck hand; assists with moving scenery/props; helps with building, painting, maintaining sets.
Independence & Collaboration: Works under close guidance; minimal independent decision‑making.
Other Duties: Setup/teardown; other duties as assigned.
LEVEL 2
Reports to Executive Director or Campus Operation. Level & ensures smooth front‑of‑house operations and technical support for diverse events, including faculty programs, student showcases, and district meetings. Enhances community partnerships through professional event execution.
Scope of Work: Intermediate support; broader event coverage including PAC and campus venues.
Technical Support: Engaged lighting/sound support under guidance; provides costuming support (fittings, alterations, care, organization).
Front‑of‑House / Ticketing: Box office, will‑call, ticket sales; may serve as House Manager.
Stagecraft / Backstage: Backstage coordination; assists with stagecraft management tasks.
Independence & Collaboration: Greater independence in routine operations; collaborates with event teams.
Other Duties: Supports non‑design functions (banquets, conferences, meetings, workshops).
LEVEL 3
Reports to Executive Director or Campus Operation. Level & provides specialized expertise for complex productions, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards. Supports district‑wide initiatives, external community events, and partnerships with local nonprofits and commercial entities.
Scope of Work: Advanced technical and event support with design responsibilities.
Technical Support: Independent operation & design in lighting, sound, and stagecraft.
Front‑of‑House / Ticketing: Coordinates with faculty, District programs, Student Life, and community users.
Stagecraft / Backstage: Oversees stagecraft design and construction tasks; shares expertise collaboratively.
Independence & Collaboration: High independence; collaborates with other event workers and stakeholders.
Other Duties: Leads technical event coordination; ensures readiness and safety.
LEVEL 4
Offers strategic technical leadership for high‑profile events, including collaborations with local government agencies, commercial partners, and community organizations. Ensures district reputation for excellence in event delivery.
Scope of Work: Lead‑level technical expert across PAC and campus.
Technical Support: Leads all technical areas (lighting, sound, stagecraft, coordination) through collaboration.
Front‑of‑House / Ticketing: Provides guidance for front‑of‑house & technical operations as needed.
Stagecraft / Backstage: Shares expertise with Event Workers I–III; provides training opportunities without formal supervision.
Independence & Collaboration: Highest independence and professional judgment; advises on facility use and improvements.
Other Duties: Supports budget prioritization for hardware, equipment, and software.
The position requires a High School diploma plus 1 year of related experience.
