We're a precious metals dealership and YouTube channel on a mission to help everyday people actually understand gold, silver, and the economy — without the hype or the jargon. Our customers are "stackers," collectors, and curious newcomers, and we talk to them like humans, not like a faceless brand. If you've ever fallen down a Reddit rabbit hole about spot prices, junk silver, or why the macro picture matters, you'll fit right in.

The role in one breath
This is a hybrid seat — part social media & community, part customer service, part marketing support.

You'll be one of the most visible voices of Summit Metals: posting and engaging across platforms, answering customer questions on the phone and in tickets, and helping our small marketing team turn ideas into campaigns. It's a build-the-community, talk-to-real-people, wear-a-few-hats kind of job. If you communicate well, pick things up fast, and genuinely care about doing good work, let's talk.

What you'll actually be doing
Social media & community (your home base)

Show up as a real person across Reddit, Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok — posting, replying, and building genuine relationships (Reddit especially: helping cultivate an authentic community voice).

Repurpose our YouTube content into clips, posts, and threads tailored to each platform.

Write SEO-aware captions and posts so our content gets found, not just scrolled past.

Make memes and simple digital designs that land with our audience.

Help run promotions and community moments that keep people engaged.

Customer service (the friendly front door)

Handle customer tickets across channels in Gladly .

Take inbound customer service phone calls — orders, payments, product questions, and general support.

Be the warm, knowledgeable first point of contact who makes people glad they reached out.

Marketing support (where it all connects)

Assist the marketing team with campaigns, launches, and promotions.

Track what's working, flag what isn't, and bring fresh ideas to the table.

Responsibilities
You'll thrive here if you

Are comfortable on the phone and genuinely enjoy helping people.

Are fluent across social platforms and understand how each one actually works (and how Reddit is not Instagram).

Write and talk like a human, not a brand.

Are curious about precious metals, gold, silver, and the macro economy — or excited to learn fast.

Are reliable, self-directed, and consistent — you show up and follow through daily.

Are, frankly, just cool to work with.

SEO Experience (SemRush/AHRef/Google Trends) is required.

Qualifications
Nice-to-haves (not dealbreakers)

Experience with Gladly or a similar helpdesk/CRM (Zendesk, Gorgias, Intercom).

Basic graphic design (Canva, Adobe Express/Photoshop) and short-form video editing.

Familiarity with social scheduling/analytics tools and basic SEO.

A track record growing a community, page, or subreddit — even a personal one.

Interest or background in finance, investing, or collectibles.

Additional Information
What success looks like

First 30 days: You know our products, voice, and audience; you're handling phone calls and tickets confidently in Gladly and posting consistently across our channels.

First 60 days: You own the day-to-day posting calendar, are repurposing YouTube content independently, and are a trusted, recognizable voice in our Reddit and social communities.

First 90 days: You're spotting engagement and support trends, bringing campaign ideas to marketing, and measurably improving response times and community engagement.

First year: You've helped grow our community and follower engagement, tightened the link between content and customer experience, and become the go-to person who knows what our audience wants before they ask.
