Job Description
A global clinical diagnostics organization focused on delivering highly accurate, automated solutions for disease detection is seeking a Product Marketing Manager / Sr. Product Marketing Manager to support its growing infectious disease portfolio. The position could be based in their Southeast office, or work on a hybrid basis from an East Coast location. The company provides innovative Elisa/IFA assay technologies and integrated systems that enable clinical laboratories to detect and monitor infectious diseases with speed, accuracy, and efficiency. This role is a downstream marketing leader responsible for driving adoption and growth of infectious disease assays across hospital and reference laboratories throughout North America. The Product Marketing Manager / Sr. Product Marketing Manager – Infectious Diseases will lead commercialization efforts for a portfolio of infectious disease assays, driving market expansion, competitive positioning, and revenue growth. This role requires a strong blend of clinical knowledge, market insight, and commercial execution, with a focus on expanding test utilization and supporting instrument-driven assay adoption.
Key Duties, Activities and Responsibilities
Product & Portfolio Management
Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for infectious disease assay portfolio
Optimize product mix, pricing strategies, and portfolio lifecycle decisions
Identify gaps and opportunities for menu expansion and competitive differentiation
Market Development
Analyze infectious disease testing trends, reimbursement dynamics, and clinical needs
Develop strategies to penetrate hospital labs, reference labs, and integrated delivery networks (IDNs)
Support expansion into emerging diagnostic segments
Commercial Execution
Lead downstream product launches and commercialization campaigns
Develop promotional programs, digital campaigns, and demand generation initiatives
Collaborate with distribution partners and direct sales teams
Customer & KOL Engagement
Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinicians, and lab directors
Gather Voice of Customer insights to inform strategy and messaging
Represent the company at scientific meetings, conferences, and workshops
Sales & Field Support
Develop sales tools, training materials, and clinical education content
Support field teams with competitive positioning and objection handling
Respond to product-related inquiries from customers and sales teams
Work Experience, Skills and Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
5–10+ years of experience in IVD, diagnostics, or infectious disease marketing
Strong understanding of infectious disease diagnostics and clinical workflows
Experience with Elisa/IFA assay/reagent commercialization and distribution channels
Proven ability to translate clinical value into commercial success
Travel up to 30%
