Business Account Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Fulfillment Representative – Electric Service to serve as the primary point of accountability for handling external customer requests related to electric service. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the service fulfillment lifecycle—from request initiation through completion.

The ideal candidate will combine strong customer service skills with operational knowledge and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing support, resolving issues, and ensuring electric service orders meet established service level agreements (SLAs).
Process, validate, and manage CIAC (Cost in Advance of Construction) and non-utility billing in accordance with applicable tariffs and policies.
Develop designs and cost estimates for simple electric service requests to support construction planning and execution.
Prepare and process electric service contracts and agreements to enable construction work.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support successful fulfillment of customer requests.

Additional Responsibilities
Manage complex residential, commercial, and industrial service requests to ensure construction completion.
Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to support operational excellence and share best practices.
Promote adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Analyze customer issues to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Provide team leadership support as needed, including:

Process improvements
Reporting and analysis
Cross-training team members
Representing the team in cross-functional meetings

Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR
High School diploma with:
9+ years in a customer-facing electric/gas, design, or construction role, OR
7+ years of customer service experience
