Sr. UI/UX Engineer - LATAM/India

Job Description
The Senior UI/UX Engineer will play a hands‑on role in shaping the company’s ecommerce portal, working closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to translate business needs into intuitive, scalable design solutions. Day to day, they will take features from concept through developer‑ready specifications by creating wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and reusable components using tools like Figma and Adobe. Rather than designing net-new marketing pages, this person will modernize and standardize an existing platform, adapting current experiences into a cohesive, design-system-driven product. They will partner directly with engineering in AI-assisted environments such as Claude and Cursor, rapidly prototyping and iterating on designs while ensuring outputs remain on-brand through defined tokens, patterns, and guardrails. With less than 10-20% coding expected, the focus is on owning UX strategy and execution by identifying friction points, proposing data-driven improvements, and delivering designs that are immediately buildable. The ideal candidate is a senior designer who operates with an AI-first mindset, brings strong product thinking, and can confidently lead design decisions, establish best practices, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Skills and Requirements

5-7+ years of product UI/UX design experience with a portfolio of shipped (live) product work

Ecommerce experience with strong understanding of user flows, conversion, and usability

Ability to own design end-to-end from wireframes to high-fidelity and developer-ready specs

Strong design systems experience in Adobe or Figma (components, tokens, reusable patterns)

Experience modernizing and standardizing existing digital products

AI-first mindset with hands-on use of tools like Claude or Cursor for design workflows

Solid understanding of responsive design and developer handoff

Ability to lead UX decisions and ship meaningful improvements

Experience in fast-paced or high-growth environments

Strong communication and collaboration skills with product, business analyst, and engineering teams

Familiarity with Figma-to-code, Storybook, or design token pipelines

Frontend skills (HTML, CSS, React) to prototype and refine directly in code when faster than a handoff

User research and testing experience (usability, analytics, A/B testing)

Motion design and micro-interactions experience

Experience in consulting or project-based environments
