Compensation Range: $25.80 - $33.15
The referenced pay range represents the first and last step pay rates for this job, as set forth in the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Individual pay will be set in accordance with terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Responsibilities

Plans and performs all necessary preparation and painting refinishing buildings (interior and exterior), furniture and equipment. May guide the work of Painter B. Typical duties include:
Mixing paints to desired color, shade and consistency using proportions of pigment, base and thinner.
Preparing and applying stains for furniture.
Preparing surfaces properly for painting (wash, scrape, wire brush, etc.).
Applying paint enamels, etc. to proper thickness, using brush, roller or spray.
Refinishing wood floors.
Erecting and dismantling scaffolding.
Laying drop cloths to protect floors and furniture from paint splattering; moving furniture as necessary.
Cleaning area after painting: cleaning brushes and other painting equipment.
Performing other special duties requiring comparable skill and responsibility as directed by supervision.
Requires 4-5 years experience.
