WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia is seeking an experienced Production Specialist to primarily serve as a Newscast Director.
Responsibilities

Direct daily studio newscasts using Sony ELC Automated Production System, ENPS Newsroom software, and Ross Xpression graphics.
Edit video footage with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop; prepare cut‑ins, pre‑production materials, and commercial projects.
Operate and troubleshoot professional video cameras, including Blackmagic, Panasonic, Hitachi, Canon C300 MkIII, 80D, and DSLR cameras.
Lead location production as Director, replay operator, shooter, or audio operator; set up, repair, and maintain equipment for remote broadcasts.
Assist with studio, set, and production equipment upkeep.
Obtain and maintain GA DOT driver certification; drive and tow truck with 24‑foot production trailer (training provided).
Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum two years of television directing experience (preference for newscast directing).
Deep knowledge of television production techniques and production automation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Creative decision‑making ability and skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Expertise in professional audio/video equipment and post‑production editing standards.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and breaking news events.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Must be able to sit for extended periods while directing newscasts; use electronic mail, conduct telephone conversations, and write memos.
Must be able to stand, walk, and lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds; lift, set up, and operate equipment weighing up to 50lb.
Must work outdoors in all weather conditions and indoors in controlled environments.
