The VP of Brand Marketing will be responsible for leading teams to develop and execute marketing plans to achieve both short and long-term strategic and financial objectives with a single cohesive consumer experience across Retail, eCommerce, and Professional channels.
In this role the VP of Brand Marketing will directly lead the full fix of marketing activities across all media channels – paid, earned, and owned – and be responsible for the development and management of all brand building activities. They will also be a key owner of delivering the U.S. GUM business with responsibility for setting brand and business strategy, tracking business performance, identifying areas for improvement, and executing accordingly.
The VP of Brand Marketing will have ownership of the eCommerce business and lead efforts to integrate sustainability into the messaging, products, and equity of the GUM brand.
As the Brand Marketing leader, you will partner closely across key cross functional groups in addition to leading the collaboration with global counterparts within the broader marketing organization.
Role Responsibilities:
Establishing business priorities and translating those priorities into marketing strategies and tactics in conjunction with other teams to achieve broad financial and strategic goals
Develop, execute, and manage the full mix of marketing activities across all media channels
Responsible for the development and management of all brand building tactics, segmentation, position, architecture, and packaging
Oversee the development of consumer insights, claims and messaging to drive consumer engagement
Analyze current business performance, trends, and market conditions and execute recommendations for business optimization
Identify, pursue, and successfully generate new targets and growth opportunities within or adjacent to our current business/category opportunities
Ownership of all brand partnerships including licensing
Responsible for the annual marketing plan and budgeting process
Ownership of the eCommerce business
Lead efforts to integrate sustainability into messaging, products and equity of the GUM brand
Ownership of all agency relationships
Draw connections between the Retail and Professional channels to create one “chair-to-shelf” marketing approach
Work closely with global counterparts to ensure a unified strategic approach to the brand’s strategic vision, brand purpose, and positioning, and implement best practices
Build and develop a marketing team centered around collaboration, bias for action, learning and shared values
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred
Knowledge/Experience:
15+ years of CPG marketing experience

The pay range for this position of VP, Brand Marketing is $240,000 -$290,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus as part of total compensation.
