Purpose

Engage people

Grow the business (both local BC business and network business in collaboration with AFR product & DGF global network partners)

Organize the team for great customer service, operational quality and efficiency, including GSC collaboration

Manage costs and partners

Key Responsibilities

Manage Station’s EBIT result

Ensure employee engagement, targeting for the best results

Ensure and improve customer satisfaction via Service First, including process improvements

Drive GoGreen agenda

Deal with local authorities and act as a legal representative of the station

Represent the station towards employees, e.g., organizing company events and serving as a go‑to person for station personnel on non‑functional topics

Decide upon all administrative matters at station

Lead negotiations with external suppliers

Accompany Field Sales and Key Account Sales on visits to important or prospective clients to leverage the Station Manager title for closing deals

Make hiring decisions at station level (subject to formal next‑level approval)

Make functional strategy decisions

Make functional operations decisions (including negotiations with external AFR/OFR/Inland logistics suppliers)

Set performance targets

Evaluate performance and target achievement

Ensure adherence to company policies

Ensure effective customer service through a process‑oriented approach that delivers reliable and consistent service

Collaborate with AFR product and DGF global network partners

Qualifications

Good understanding of the freight forwarding industry

Knowledge of station‑level administrative matters

Ability to take ownership and drive station solutions independently

Proven track record in a people‑management role (leadership, motivation, and interpersonal skills)

Good communication skills

Strong ocean freight background seen as a major benefit

Pay Range
$130,011.75 – $173,349.00+ (based on experience)
