As an Area Sales Manager working for Taylor Morrison you will be leading, developing, and managing a sales team while exceeding sales and closing goals. You are part of the leadership team and have an exciting opportunity to help people realize their dream of owning a home.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, train, and develop sales associates.
Manage field sales of assigned communities and achieve community sales goals.
Support Sales Associates in meeting sales objectives consistent with company policies and core values.
Travel to assigned communities within the region weekly (occasional weekend work).
Develop, monitor, and maintain sales plans for each community in partnership with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
Coach sales associates in basic selling skills on an ongoing basis.
Recruit, motivate, and evaluate Sales Staff.
Assist Senior and regular Sales Associates in achieving community-specific sales targets.
Prepare sales center staffing schedules.
Gather and analyze competitive data for market analysis with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
Review and analyze mystery shop results of Sales Staff.
Ensure current and accurate sales materials are available in each community.
Monitor follow-up activities of Sales Staff.
Train Sales Staff on the current computer system.
Participate in weekly sales meetings.
Understand how Sales is affected by, and affects, other departments through consistent interaction.
Maintain and manage the customer backlog.
Interface with customers when necessary.
Apply problem‑solving skills when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Associate degree in Business or a related field, or at least five years of on‑site sales experience (preferably with a production builder).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational habits.
Computer literacy.
Demonstrated leadership qualities.
Prior management experience is preferred but not required.
Essential Functions
Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule.
Oversee direct reports daily and provide guidance as needed.
Access, input, and retrieve information from a computer or electronic device.
Conduct face‑to‑face conversations with customers, co‑workers, and higher‑level managers.
Sit or stand for long periods and move within the work environment as required.
Operate a motor vehicle for work purposes.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Physical Demands
Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of a training program may override required education and/or experience requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $91,810 – $133,110
Bonus: AIP up to 20%
Auto Allowance: $7,000 per year
