Our client is Texas based mid-sized law firm with office in Dallas, Ft Worth, Austin & Houston with approximately 150 attorneys. The firm has some powerhouse Real Estate attorneys with Band 2 ranking in Chambers. They are seeking an experienced, full-time Business Development Manager to cover the Real Estate practice. This is not a sales role.

About the Role
The Manager works closely with attorneys, practice group leaders, the CBDMO and the Director of Business Development + Marketing. The position serves as a primary marketing and business development resource for the Firm’s Real Estate attorneys and collaborates with internal teams to align initiatives with the Firm’s broader marketing strategy.

You will:

Attend and execute on the follow up from Practice Group Meetings and provide Attorney Business Development Coaching

Oversee and develop the production of Marketing Materials

like client proposals, presentations, and RFP responses for the practice.

Conduct Business Intelligence Research

on clients, prospective clients, industries, and competitors and you will be called upon to provide insights that inform business development strategy and attorney outreach efforts.

Awards & Surveys

Public Relations

Provides strategic guidance on article topics and media opportunities in collaboration with the Firm’s PR agency and Marketing team.

Advertising & Market Visibility

Evaluates, recommends, and assists in the development of advertising content.

Content Review + Quality Control

Market Initiatives

in all four Texas offices.

Internal Communications

Contributes to the development and distribution of the Firm’s Internal Business Development Newsletter and other internal communications that highlight client developments, attorney achievements, and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related fields.

5+ years of experience within the marketing and/or business development department of a corporate law firm, the AEC industry, or other professional services firm.

Must have an understanding of the legal industry and law firms.

Required Skills

The candidate must be in Dallas. No relocation offered. No remote candidates.

Advanced understanding of marketing concepts, principles, and activities in a B2B environment in professional services.

Meaningful strategic business planning and implementation experience.

Superior writing, proofreading, and interpersonal communication skills.

Charismatic personality and outstanding client service mentality.

Strong organizational and project management skills

Ability to prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
