Job Summary
WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News in Jackson, Tenn., is looking for an Anchor/Reporter to join the No. 1 AM Team in West Tennessee. This is a great opportunity for a fill-in or weekend Anchor to move to a high-profile, Monday-Friday position. It is also a good opportunity for a Sports Anchor to move into a News Anchor role. As a Reporter, you will be required to own the story and deliver breaking news and severe weather coverage.

Responsibilities

Provide on-air anchoring for 7 Eyewitness News, delivering news, weather and sports with an energetic approach.

Connect with viewers, maintaining a strong on-air presence and carrying the show when needed.

Collaborate with co-anchors to build a cohesive and engaging team.

Own stories, develop beats and sources, and break news and severe weather coverage.

Carry 40 pounds of broadcast gear and maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications

Four-year degree in broadcast journalism, communications, or related fields preferred.

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Ability to carry 40 pounds of gear and a clean driving record.
