Sales Manager

Swickard Auto Group · Vancouver, WA, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

The Sales Manager at our Van Center is a dealmaker and a culture-builder in equal measure. You'll lead our sales team, own our commercial and retail sales performance, and help establish the consultative, hospitality-driven sales approach that will differentiate us in the market. This is a high-impact leadership role at a brand-new facility — your chance to build a winning team from the ground up.

About Mercedes-Benz Van Center of Vancouver: The Mercedes-Benz Van Center of Vancouver is a brand-new, dedicated Sprinter Van Center opening in August 2026 in the heart of the Vancouver/Portland metro area.

We are not just another dealership — we are a purpose-built facility focused exclusively on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, serving businesses, commercial fleets, adventure enthusiasts, and hospitality partners across the Pacific Northwest.

This is a rare ground-floor opportunity. You won't be inheriting someone else's culture or fitting into an existing mold — you'll be helping to build it. We believe that exceptional hospitality isn't just for guests; it starts with how we treat each other and every person who walks through our doors.

At our Van Center, hospitality is a core value — not a department. Every team member plays a role in delivering an experience that is warm, professional, and genuinely different from anything in our market.

What You'll Do

Lead, coach, and develop the full sales team including Commercial Account Managers and any retail sales consultants

Establish and drive achievement of monthly and annual sales targets: unit volume, gross profit, and commercial penetration

Work deals and desking alongside your team — this is a hands‑on leadership role

Develop and implement sales processes, CRM disciplines, and pipeline management standards from day one

Build commercial sales strategy to penetrate key B2B segments in the Vancouver/Portland market

Collaborate with marketing on local campaigns, fleet outreach, and brand‑building initiatives

Ensure all sales interactions reflect the Mercedes-Benz brand standard and our hospitality‑first culture

Monitor sales metrics, inventory turn, and market performance and report to General Manager

Participate in pre-opening planning, inventory strategy, and facility launch activities

What We're Looking For

5+ years of automotive sales experience with at least 2 years in a sales management role

Demonstrated success in commercial vehicle or fleet sales is a significant differentiator

Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate a high‑performing sales team

Strong desking, negotiation, and F&I coordination skills

Hospitality mindset — you lead by example in how clients and team members are treated

Mercedes-Benz or premium/luxury brand experience preferred

Proficiency in DMS and CRM platforms

Valid driver's license with clean record

Compensation & Structure

Competitive base salary plus commission and team performance bonus

Compensation package commensurate with experience and track record

Significant upside opportunity in a growing market with a premium brand

WHY JOIN OUR FOUNDING TEAM?

Ground-floor opportunity to shape the culture, processes, and standards of a brand-new operation

Represent one of the world's most iconic luxury brands

Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives

Manufacturer-supported training and Mercedes-Benz certification opportunities

Collaborative, hospitality-first culture where your contributions are seen and valued

Serve a thriving and growing commercial market in one of the Pacific Northwest's fastest-growing corridors

Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off

Career growth potential as the business grows and scales
