Marketing ManagerThe Marketing Manager supports the planning, organization, and administration of all Hardeeville Parks, Recreation & Tourism (HPRT) special events, marketing initiatives, and all destination marketing for the city. Under the direction of the Director of Parks, Recreation & Tourism, this role oversees the marketing division of the department that includes managing all marketing for the department, including departmental branding as well as acting as the City's DMO coordinator. Specifically, the Marketing Manager supports departmental marketing efforts, including social media management, website updates, content creation, photography and video production, as well as development of promotional materials in both digital and print formats.This position maintains the integrity and consistency of the HPRT brand across all platforms and programs, ensuring messaging aligns with departmental standards. The Marketing Manager helps ensure the Vision and Mission of the Hardeeville Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department are reflected in all events, programs, and communications. This position is solely responsible for the destination marketing for the city and may work with other stakeholders and officials for collaborative efforts. This role involves supporting the implementation of goals, procedures, and policies adopted by the City under the direction of the Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Director and carrying them through in all assigned responsibilities. This full-time position requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and minimal travel.Examples of DutiesAssists in planning, organizing, and administering special programs and community events.Assists in planning, organizing and administering programming such as a Farmer's Market, Food Truck Friday's, and other similar programs.Supports collaboration with community members, partners, and organizations to help develop new and innovative programming while identifying partnership opportunities that increase community involvement and reduce duplication of services.Assists in the planning and implementation of short-term, long-term, and annual goals, objectives, and strategies for programming and special event enhancement and growth.Provides administrative and operational support for the REC DESK community portal, including content updates, registration setup, reporting, and customer assistance.Maintains professional knowledge, skills, and development by attending seminars and training programs and reviewing trade and professional publications to ensure events, programs, and marketing efforts remain current and relevant.Serves as a departmental liaison at public engagements, meetings, seminars, and community group or organizational events in the absence of the Events and Marketing ManagerSupports the development and enhancement of flyers, registration forms, calendars, publications, social media content, videos, and other marketing materials that promote and protect the PRT departmental brand.Assists with marketing and advertising efforts for City-sponsored programs and events, including public service announcements (PSAs), social media management, website updates, and other marketing platforms.Develop and execute annual tourism marketing plans, including digital marketing, social media, paid advertising, and content creation.Collaborate with local businesses, hospitality partners, and government agencies to create a unified brand voice and support tourism infrastructure while engaging stakeholder engagement.Act as the "architect" of the City's destination's image, ensuring a consistent and appealing brand identity across all platforms.Utilize research tools, CRM systems, and website analytics to track visitor trends, monitor campaign ROI, and make data-driven decisions.Maintain a positive public image, manage media relations, and educate the community on the economic value of tourism.Performs other related duties as assigned.Typical QualificationsEducation and Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in the field of Recreation, Marketing, Communication, Event Management, Public Relations, or a related field.Not required but preferred: Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) and Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) Certification
