Videographer
Copper Mountain Resort is a vacation destination located 75 miles west of Denver, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Three vibrant, pedestrian-friendly village areas host lodging, retail outlets, restaurants, bars, and family activities. During the winter months, Copper's world-class terrain offers skiing and riding for all ages and abilities. Each summer, the mountain transforms into a playground for hikers, mountain bikers, and anyone seeking a genuine Colorado experience. Copper Mountain Resort is also home to Woodward Copper action-sports camps, programs, and training facility.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $2,323.00 to $2,416.53+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary
The Videographer is a key member of the creative team within the marketing department. This passionate individual is responsible for creating industry-leading video and photo content, consistent with the Copper Mountain brand to enhance the efforts of the marketing team and the resort as a whole. The Videographer is responsible for capturing, editing, and managing all of Copper's photo and video assets from start to finish.
This self-motivated individual must manage multiple projects and priorities at once and possesses a strong level of organization, communication, and efficiency. The videographer reports to the Sr. Marketing Manager and works alongside the Social Media Coordinator, Graphic Design team, Marketing Supervisor and others to deliver professional-quality video and photo assets for social media, digital advertising (paid media), website, email and other resort promotions. Additionally, the videographer handles internal video and photo requests for other business units and communicates directly with them to fulfill those needs.
The Videographer works in lock-step with the Social Media Coordinator to ensure Copper's daily content feeds showcase real-time, brand-aligned, industry-leading videos and photos. This person should demonstrate a savviness for social-led video and knowledge of how to create modern video content optimized for Instagram, YouTube, and YouTube Shorts.
The Videographer is passionate about skillfully capturing all aspects of the Copper Mountain experience and producing finished pieces that are cutting-edge.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Video + Photo Capture:
Fulfill daily photo and video capture requests for external (marketing) uses and internal uses
Manage and fulfill a master list of photo and video capture needs. Understand gaps in Copper's video and photo libraries and work over the course of each season (winter and summer) to capture and update content.
Manage Copper's ski model program. Work with models to ensure timely and brand-aligned action content.
Organize all necessary photo and video shoots, from powder day content to social-led short videos.
Capture photo and video content during Copper events and competitions. Manage shotlist, timelines, and delivery of assets to all stakeholders.
Produce content plans to serve as the source-of-truth for the broader marketing team to understand photo/video outcomes, including shot list, timeline, etc. Work in partnership with marketing team members to build these in advance of key events and photoshoots.
Maintain relationships and communicate with the ski resort operations team to effectively and safely navigate on-mountain shoots.
Treat every fresh snow day enthusiastically, capturing the weather and pushing out the message via real time content with the help of the social media coordinator.
Serve as an expert in Copper's brand and ensures brand alignment in the photos and videos captured. Applies editing treatments aligned to the brand to ensure final content delivered is ready for use.
Video Asset Creation:
Complete multiple short-form video projects per month to showcase Copper's mountain experience, including but not limited to fresh snow, skiing/riding action, mountain biking, hiking, events, competitions, and in-village activations.
Understand short-form storytelling and able to hit key messaging goals with brand acumen, taste, and clarity.
Ensure that brand treatments are maintained in all videos.
Work with the Sr. Marketing Manager to produce six or more flights of paid media videos per year.
Manage Copper's YouTube account and ensures that channel-aligned content is published in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand video goals, align on video outlines and outcomes, and work through reviews/edits.
Asset Management:
Responsible for Copper's digital asset library, including its organization and keeping assets up to date and accessible by the marketing team.
Knowledgeable on the location of all digital assets while organizing and categorizing all new content, able to fill requests for specific photos and video clips quickly and effectively.
Detail-oriented and dedicated to appropriate naming and tagging practices. Dedicated to long-term success for the Copper marketing team, including backups of footage, photos, motion graphics, and working files.
General Marketing Support/Other:
Work directly with the Sr. Marketing Manager and other members of the marketing and events team to support daily, weekly, and long-term projects.
Work with the public relations team member to provide content for media and press releases as needed.
Stay educated on new trends and improvements in technology in the evolving photo and video world.
Openly communicate to the marketing department on priorities and project timeframes.
Support the social media coordinator with regular coverage and maintenance of social accounts.
Build and maintain knowledge about trends and trajectories within the social media space in order to keep Copper's content at the leading edge. Understand Copper's core audiences and ensure content is created to reach them.
Provide photo and video content to keep the website and emails fresh, Be able to update the website as needed.
Be a source of creative assistance to the entire marketing team.
Work well with other business units to execute on needs on time and within the scope of the ask.
Staff on and off-site events to promote Copper Mountain or Woodward Copper as needed.
