Designer
What could be more exciting than putting your mark on some of the world’s most famous and well‑loved fashion brands? As a designer for Centric Brands, you’ll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on style plans, sales needs and emerging trends. You will also ensure that your work can be transformed into a finished product in a timely manner and at an appropriate price point. This means collaboration with technical design and production teams, as well as building relationships with outside vendors and other stakeholders, in a vibrant, customer‑ and people‑centric culture that celebrates you as a valuable member of the team.
Specific Responsibilities
The Senior Graphic Artist‑Production Art (Kids Apparel) supports the Design Operations team in creating product lifecycle management (PLM) packages and pre‑production artwork while partnering closely with design, product development, technical design and cross‑functional teams to ensure production‑ready execution that aligns with brand standards and business objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Attend style review meetings with design and cross‑functional teams to understand, review, and interpret seasonal vision and concepts prior to initiating the PLM technical package process.
Partner closely with senior final artists and creative teams to execute artwork that accurately reflects the designer’s vision while maintaining production feasibility.
Collaborate with team members to ensure production artwork meets all technical, aesthetic, and quality requirements before vendor release.
Work with the technical design team to develop nested patterns for artwork placement, scale validation, and production approval.
Utilize both 2D/3D assets to finalize artwork scale, placement, and execution for production‑ready PLM technical packages.
Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to ensure Bill of Materials (BOM) information and artwork specifications are accurately aligned within production technical packages.
Contribute to the development of brand‑specific art sheets by providing color keys, technique callouts, artwork sizing based on grading requirements, and placement specifications.
Convert fabric print motifs into production‑ready repeat patterns for rotary and flatbed printing based on cylinder specifications and fabric width requirements.
Prepare technical layouts, color pitch sheets, and construction guides for woven and knit fabrications to support PLM technical package development.
Provide detailed technical specifications for artwork embellishments including embroidery, screen prints, appliqués, specialty techniques, and engineered fabric prints.
Maintain and organize digital and physical reference libraries to support consistency, efficiency, and best practices across brands.
Create and maintain brand‑specific artwork placement, sizing, and execution standards utilizing both 2D/3D visualization tools.
Establish standards and facilitate process workflow within the design ops team.
Lead the team in learning how to generate accurate 3D models using data from 2D sketches.
Update and maintain PLM information throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and completeness from concept through production.
Our Best Fit Candidate
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Flex PLM.
Strong knowledge of Browzwear 3D Software and Lotta.
Strong understanding of screen‑printing processes, embellishment techniques, and their application across various fabrications.
Knowledge of production printing limitations and artwork optimization across multiple fabrication types.
Working knowledge of the Pantone Matching System and color management principles.
Comprehensive understanding of pattern nesting, production markers, artwork repeats, and production execution requirements.
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field.
Ability to direct and guide junior artists and work with the team to create production‑ready art.
Strong understanding of business processes – including the management of workflows, development tasks.
6–8 years of graphic design, production art, or apparel graphics experience, preferably within apparel, consumer products, or retail environments.
