Program Overview
The Chamber Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to learn within the world’s largest business organization. Interns support a team while participating in a variety of professional development programs, including company‑wide meetings, social events, and exclusive discussions with senior executives. The program runs from September 14 through November 20, with part‑time hybrid scheduling. The internship is paid, with an hourly rate of $18.00–$20.00.

Position Overview
The Communications Intern will amplify the Chamber’s voice across media platforms and engage key audiences such as members, policymakers, the press, and the public. Interns gain hands‑on experience in strategic communications, digital media, public relations, and content development while supporting a fast‑paced communications team.

Responsibilities

Assist with drafting and editing communications materials, including press releases, newsletters, talking points, and social media content.

Support media monitoring and compile daily press clips and coverage reports.

Assist with content creation for the Chamber’s digital platforms and campaigns.

Conduct research related to communications strategies, media trends, and policy messaging.

Help coordinate communications support for Chamber events and initiatives.

Collaborate with team members on internal communications and branding efforts.

Provide administrative and project support as needed.

Qualifications

Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate within the past six months.

Pursuing or recently completed studies in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, political science, or a related field.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communications tools.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Applications are accepted until Friday, July 10. Interviews will be conducted in late July and early August. This internship requires U.S. work authorization and is open to candidates with Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and/or Optional Practical Training (OPT).
