Summary
Teaches 3 semester hours per academic year in College choir. Additional duties may include contributing to the campus, supporting students, supporting Principia activities, and promoting Christian Science-based character education in accord with Principia’s mission as outlined in Education at The Principia.

Primary Responsibilities

Teaches 3 semester hours Spring ’26 in Music: College Choir

Is an active character educator in accordance with Principia’s mission

Supports metaphysically the mission and goals of the institution and its operations

Maintains office hours

Meets with students for academic support

Prepares for, teaches, and measures student learning for assigned courses within the context of Principia's philosophy of liberal arts education

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Music, DMA, or Ed.D. in Music (preferred)

Willingness to be an academic generalist who is able to teach multiple areas within the discipline

Ability to work with a range of students and skill levels

Classroom teaching experience or work with college-aged students preferredDemonstrated facility and comfort with navigating and leveraging a learning management system

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive starting salary range for this position: $6,300-$8,310 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
