Job Purpose
TheAccountManager will build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and grow the territory revenue of the Standards business, with aprimary focusin theReference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines.
KeyResponsibilities
Own allassignedCommercial accounts and Strategic site‑levellocations(e.g., regional labsformultinationals),representingtheentireLGC Standardsportfolioacrossall end-markets(Pharma,Biotech,Environmental, etc.)tobuildnewandmaintainexistingaccountrelationships
Identifyandclosenewopportunities,attainedfromeitherprospectingasselfgeneratedleadsorfrommarketingasmarketingqualifiedleads
Involveadditional LGCStandard’steammembers(e.g.,endmarketsalesmanagers,quotingspecialists, etc.) on anas‑neededbasistobestservice customerneedsandtoachievethehighestlevelofcustomerexperience
Forrelevantsitesatspecificstrategicaccounts,theaccountmanager willcollaboratewiththestrategicaccountmanagertoconductplanningand customerreviews
TheaccountmanagerwilluseLGC’ssalestoolsto manageprospects,existingaccounts,newopportunities,theactivepipelineandrelevantsalesforecastsin anaccurateandtimelymanner
Developanin‑depth understanding ofkey LGCproducts and their applications
Meet and exceed assignedsales targets for LGC Standards.
Actively engage withcustomers(e.g.,email,phone calls,in‑personvisits, etc) to qualify leads, convert prospects,follow‑uponquotationsanddrivenewsales;the account manager willaccordinglymaintainCRMs with up‑to‑date customer information
The account manager will increase awareness of the LGC Standardsbrandby organizing and attending exhibitions,seminarsand other events, and by servingasa company representative duringworkinghours
Applicants must reside in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Connecticut.
Experience Requirements
B.S. in chemistry,physics,biochemistry,biology,orequivalent
At least 5years’experienceinsellingtechnicalproductsusedinresearchlaboratories. Priorsuccessfulkeyaccountmanagementexperiencedealingwithcentral procurementispreferred
Able toreadandinterpretdocumentssuchasRFQs,contracts,operatingandmaintenanceinstructions, andproceduremanuals
Experiencewithcustomerrelationshipmanagementplatforms, such asSales Force and Desk. Expertise in Microsoft Officeproductsisa plus
Outstandingcommercialawarenessandplanningabilities
Proven trackrecordmeetingandexceedingsalestargets
Englishfluency.Fluencyorproficiencyinotherlanguagesareasignificantadvantage
Willing to travel up to 50% within territory: VT, NH, MA, RI, CT, NY, PR

Pay range for this role is
Minimum:USD $95,000 / Yearly
Maximum:USD $105,000 / Yearly
The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience, skills, and location within sales geography.
