Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Social Media Management (25%)

Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for Wright State Dining.
Manage content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
Create engaging photo, video, and written content showcasing food, events, promotions, and student experiences.
Maintain a content calendar aligned with university and Quest initiatives.
Monitor engagement, comments, and direct messages.
Track analytics and recommend strategies to increase reach, engagement, and follower growth.
Stay current on social media trends and student engagement opportunities.

Graphic Design & Creative Content (20%)

Design promotional materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
Create:

Menus
Flyers
Posters
Digital signage
Table tents
Event graphics
Email campaigns
Promotional displays
Branded marketing materials

Ensure all materials align with Quest brand standards and university guidelines.
Maintain consistency across all dining locations and marketing channels.

Menu Development & Digital Signage (15%)

Design and maintain printed and digital menus.
Update menu boards and digital screens throughout campus dining locations.
Coordinate with culinary teams to ensure menu accuracy.
Create feature menus for special events, catering functions, and seasonal promotions.
Develop visual merchandising materials that enhance the guest experience.

Event Marketing & Student Engagement (15%)

Assist in planning and executing campus dining events, promotions, pop-ups, giveaways, tastings, and themed dining experiences.
Create event marketing plans and promotional campaigns.
Coordinate marketing support for orientation programs, meal plan promotions, and campus-wide events.
Serve as a visible representative of Dining Services at student engagement events.
Collaborate with student organizations and university departments to increase participation and awareness.

Business Reporting & Presentations (10%)

Develop Quarterly Business Review (QBR) presentations for university stakeholders and Quest leadership.
Create professional PowerPoint presentations highlighting:

Sales performance
Marketing initiatives
Customer engagement metrics
Social media performance
Special event outcomes
Student satisfaction feedback

Assist leadership with presentation materials for client meetings and strategic planning sessions.

Website & Digital Communications (5%)

Assist with maintaining dining website content, hours of operation, menus, announcements, and promotional campaigns.
Support email marketing initiatives and campus communications.
Ensure all digital communications remain current and accurate.

Photography & Video Production (5%)

Capture high-quality food photography and event imagery.
Produce short-form video content for social media and digital displays.
Develop visual assets that showcase culinary programs, catering services, and student experiences.
Maintain a digital library of photos and marketing assets.

Market Research & Analytics (5%)

Gather student feedback through surveys, social media, and engagement activities.
Monitor dining trends, competitor activity, and student preferences.
Measure effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provide recommendations for improvement.
Prepare monthly marketing performance reports.

20–30 hours per week (flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends for special events)
