About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director, Men's Design to lead the design vision and execution across multiple men's apparel categories. This role will be responsible for driving brand-right product concepts that align with customer needs, market trends, and business objectives while ensuring strong commercial performance.

The Director will lead a small team of designers and work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Product Development, Production, CAD, and Graphic Design partners to deliver compelling product assortments that reflect the brand aesthetic and meet financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing creative direction and development support.
  • Drive seasonal concept development, trend research, and product strategy across men's apparel categories.
  • Create innovative, customer-focused product assortments that balance creativity, quality, value, and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent brand aesthetic across all product categories.
  • Partner closely with Merchandising, Production, Product Development, CAD, and Graphic Design teams to ensure successful product execution.
  • Guide the design process from concept through final production.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to identify new opportunities.
  • Ensure product quality, fit, fabrication, and construction align with brand standards.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables to support seasonal calendars and business objectives.
  • Support financial goals by balancing design innovation with cost considerations and commercial viability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • 10+ years of apparel design experience, with significant experience in men's apparel.
  • Prior leadership experience managing and developing design teams.
  • Strong understanding of menswear design, trends, fabrics, construction, and product development.
  • Proven ability to develop commercially successful product assortments.
  • Experience collaborating with Merchandising, Production, Sourcing, and Product Development teams.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and relevant design tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative retail environment.

Preferred Background

  • Experience designing across multiple men's categories, including sportswear, knits, wovens, bottoms, denim, or outerwear.
