Overview
As the ID Ecosystem Tech Lead, you will be technical owner for the entire Identification (ID) ecosystem: readers (electronic and visual), device‑to‑cloud connectivity and upload mechanisms, data pipelines and integrations, and user applications and services that consume identification data.
You will set technical direction, define architecture and operational standards, lead cross‑discipline technical teams, and coordinate delivery with the Product Manager for ID. Your goal is to ensure a cohesive, secure, scalable, and maintainable ID ecosystem that delivers reliable identification data to downstream solutions and customers. In this role you will lead by example, foster a culture of technical excellence, and ensure the team delivers scalable, high‑impact and maintainable technology solutions throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical ownership of the ID ecosystem, including readers, connectivity, data pipelines, and user application services.
- Define architecture and operational standards for the ecosystem.
- Lead and coordinate cross‑discipline technical teams and collaborate with Product Manager.
- Ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions delivering reliable identification data downstream.
- Guide teammates, stakeholders, and executives using data, logic, and influence.
- Foster an environment of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, electrical/mechanical/computer engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent practical experience. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven experience leading end‑to‑end device‑to‑cloud systems and data‑driven products, including reader devices or IoT hardware, connectivity, backend services, and user applications.
- Strong understanding of data architectures, event‑driven pipelines, messaging systems and REST/HTTP APIs.
- Experience defining device‑cloud interfaces, secure provisioning, OTA/firmware update strategies, and device management at scale.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams across hardware, firmware, cloud, and application domains.
- Experience with operational considerations for production systems: monitoring, SLAs, incident management, and post‑incident review.
- Solid grasp of security best practices for device and cloud ecosystems (encryption in transit and at rest, authentication/authorization, key management).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to align technical decisions with product and business objectives.
- Track record of delivering production‑grade systems with focus on reliability, maintainability, and scalability.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary range: $173,200.00 – $272,600.00.
- Eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
