Job Description
Trade Strategy and Marketing at AbbVie has evolved significantly from an operational and tactical function for selecting products to one requiring the development of complex pharmacy, distribution, and patient‑access strategies across the portfolio. A key component of this evolution is the growing need to support patients with complex, chronic conditions who require high‑touch coordination across specialty pharmacy, distribution, payer access, HCP engagement, patient services, and ongoing therapy management. Within Parkinson’s, AbbVie has an important opportunity to shape the future of care through VYALEV and upcoming pipeline assets. These therapies require thoughtful trade and distribution strategy due to the complexity of the patient journey, the importance of timely onboarding, coordination across multiple stakeholders, and the need for a seamless experience from prescription through therapy initiation and continuation. The Associate Director, Trade Strategy & Marketing – Parkinson’s is responsible for assessing and identifying business opportunities within the specialty pharmacy and distribution channel, and developing and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance patient onboarding, improve therapy initiation, support adherence, and prepare the channel for future Parkinson’s pipeline launches.
