Head of Digital & Media
This senior leadership role is responsible for defining and executing global digital media strategy at scale. The person leads a large, highly specialized team and oversees complex, high‑impact digital marketing programs, ensuring operational excellence, data‑driven decision‑making, and measurable business outcomes. The role is based in an HPE office in the United States and is open to hybrid‑work candidates with hub locations including San Jose, Houston, and New York.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global digital & media strategy and align it with broader marketing and demand generation objectives.
- Translate campaign strategy into scalable media plans and execution frameworks.
- Oversee large‑scale digital programs across social, programmatic, search, and web channels, ensuring effective optimization of campaigns, customer journeys, and channel performance.
- Drive data‑driven decision making by leveraging large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights and improve performance; partner closely with analytics teams to measure impact and continuously refine strategy.
- Manage significant budget and investment; own and optimize a large global digital media budget and ensure efficient allocation of spend across channels and campaigns to maximize ROI.
- Lead a high‑performing organization by developing a global team of professionals across digital strategy, media, ad operations, and technology, fostering a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the complex digital ecosystem and manage end‑to‑end digital execution at scale, including assets, tracking, and campaign infrastructure, ensuring seamless coordination across digital platforms, tools, and technologies.
- Collaborate across stakeholders by partnering closely with campaign strategy, analytics, field marketing, product marketing, and content teams, and act as a key representative of digital and media strategy in cross‑functional forums.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher; advanced degrees or certifications in relevant fields are a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing and media.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing high‑performing teams.
- Deep expertise in media strategy and channel strategy; campaign management and optimization; digital customer journeys and web experience.
- Experience managing large‑scale digital programs and budgets.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into insights and action.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence in a highly matrixed, global organization.
- Experience managing complex digital ecosystems with multiple stakeholders and channels.

Compensation
United States of America: Annual Salary USD 183,000 - 389,500 in California & NewYork; 161,000 - 389,500 in Texas. The listed salary range reflects base salary; variable incentives may also be offered.
