Position Summary

Strategically lead and direct all payment / credit card new product development activities, champion all sales and marketing channels of the organization’s products and services suite including identifying opportunities to launch new products or to enter new markets; manage sales and marketing budgets; project revenue and growth potential; identify technology and marketing tools; conduct necessary market research and branding studies; and build and oversee the company’s national sales and marketing teams. Responsible for driving profitable growth of CFNA through the development of integrated business plans with various Bridgestone Americas lines of business, highlighted by the achievement of CFNA application and sales objectives for BSRO ~2,200 company owned stores, BATO Independent Tire Dealers and Private Label Merchants (~6,000 stores), and driving outside spend on CFNA’s co‑branded credit card product. Combined responsibility for the strategic leadership of $1.75B in sales volume, and contributing to over $130 million in operating profit from CFNA to Bridgestone annually.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing plans and programs, both short and long‑range, to support sales and revenue objectives of the organization.
  • Conduct insights development – develop the learning plan and conduct necessary research to identify new insights.
  • Translate insights to action, developing new products and/or new markets to enter and supporting in‑market programs.
  • Strategically grow and diversify the current product portfolio to drive bottom‑line growth for the enterprise.
  • Drive marketing excellence – develop best‑in‑class marketing talent to produce best‑in‑class marketing executions to support business growth.
  • Increase product and brand awareness and create an optimal mix of product and promotional channels.
  • Develop and execute step‑change digital strategy to accelerate business growth.
  • Partner with all areas of CFNA on new payment product development activities and partnerships to build a robust pipeline of new products, services and technologies.
  • Engage customers and dealers to develop profitable joint business plans.
  • Coach and develop the team’s sales and marketing staff.
  • Develop engagement strategy at key trade‑related events and activities (e.g., trade shows, industry events) to elevate the brand position in the market.
  • Maintain relationships with industry influencers.
  • Manage all related expense budgets and P&L contribution lines for CFNA.
  • Lead external agencies on ongoing promotional campaign development and execution.
  • Serve as a member of the executive team leading CFNA.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage highly engaged sales, marketing, and new product development team, including product program managers across related business disciplines.
  • Span of control: 3‑5 direct reports and a team of 20 employees.
  • Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all teams on a national basis.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, coach, and develop talent; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance and reward or discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Strategy Development, Marketing, New Business Development or related field required; MBA or master’s degree in related field preferred.
  • At least 12 years of financial services / credit card payments management experience, ideally as senior‑level executive on a national scale with 7+ years of large cross‑functional team management experience.
  • Payments industry related experience (credit cards, consumer lending, or other related products) preferred.
  • Strong managerial skill combined with detail‑oriented research ability.
  • Capable of working in a fast‑paced, energetic environment while striving to meet high goals.
  • Team player with strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent.
  • Multifunctional general management experience, including P&L management responsibilities.
  • Experience leading sales and marketing in a digital world.
