What You Will Be Doing
The Director of Strategic Accounts is responsible for growing and/or developing new business relationships and serving as the first level of support to existing clients. They will represent client needs and goals internally within TransPerfect to ensure successful project completion and client satisfaction. They will also develop relationships with prospective and existing clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities and work on day‑to‑day project leadership activities alongside clients, account managers, and production teams during the planning and execution phases of each project.
- Be responsible for all client communication, understanding client goals, and discussing project requirements with clients.
- Creatively problem solve to improve current and new business development strategies.
- Assist in new business development (proposal development, meetings, and presentations).
- Communicate the client’s goals, project requirements, and represent the client’s interests to the team to ensure client expectations are met and managed.
- Ensure clients are regularly informed of project status and maintain clear communication to resolve any issues.
- Work closely with the project management team to maintain continuous knowledge of project status to identify potential issues and/or opportunities.
- Assist in creating and monitoring adherence to project plans and budgets.
- Consistently qualify, generate, and execute on opportunities in coordination with Sales Management.
- Maintain and update sales progress reports according to agreed timeframes.
- Complete all aspects of the sales cycle (proposal through closure of sales).
- Coordinate with colleagues in other departments for efficient workflow.
- Maintain a strong understanding of TL eDiscovery capabilities and services, and effectively communicate offerings to clients.
- Compose or generate a variety of materials (reports, memos, letters, manuals, etc.) for documentation, training, or status reporting.
- Provide support to senior team members and perform other special projects or duties as required.
Who We Are Looking For
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in account management or the legal industry.
- Strong understanding of the legal industry, including eDiscovery and all phases of the EDRM.
- Understanding of legal document review processes preferred.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Prior experience in managing complex projects a plus.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Independent, self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and dynamic.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and with geographically dispersed teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
