Our client, a fast-growing beauty brand , is seeking an Associate Director, Amazon Media to lead the overall strategy, optimization, and daily execution of the Amazon business. This hybrid role sits in the NYC office 3 days a week and works remotely 2 days a week. This person will lead and execute Amazon media strategy in alignment with agency, brand, and retail objectives across the APUS portfolio. This role is responsible for developing tailored, brand-specific media strategies that drive sales growth, revenue, and customer acquisition. The position oversees all aspects of Amazon media planning and performance, partnering closely with brand and national media teams to ensure cohesive strategy, clear communication, actionable reporting, and cross-functional alignment among stakeholders.

Job Duties Include:

  • Partner with Amazon Advertising, agency partners, and internal stakeholders to develop integrated marketing strategies across paid search, display, programmatic, and social advertising channels.
  • Build, manage, and scale campaigns across Amazon Sponsored Ads and Amazon DSP to achieve channel performance and business goals.
  • Optimize campaign performance and efficiency, monitoring KPIs including ad spend, sales, ROAS, CPC, CTR, NTB%, and conversion rate.
  • Develop and execute strategic media plans for key retail moments and tentpole events, including Prime Day.
  • Leverage an understanding of the consumer journey and marketing funnel to inform media strategy and investment decisions.
  • Manage complex product catalogs and significant media budgets while ensuring achievement of monthly targets and KPIs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support promotional calendars, seasonal campaigns, and timely execution of initiatives.
  • Align closely with brand media teams on budget allocation, investment strategy, and holistic media planning.
  • Analyze campaign performance in partnership with Amazon Advertising, including auditing and optimizing search and DSP campaigns, testing new ad formats, and delivering actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Provide monthly billing support and reporting to finance and internal stakeholders.
  • Submit SEO optimization recommendations to brand teams and agency partners.
  • Lead and coordinate meetings with key stakeholders to maintain alignment and drive decision-making.

Job Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Digital Media, Business, or a related quantitative field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search and programmatic campaigns, including Amazon Sponsored Ads, Amazon DSP, and Google Ads.
  • Amazon Advertising (Search & DSP) and Google Ads certifications preferred.
  • Experience within a digital marketing agency environment supporting skincare, beauty, or consumer brands is a plus.
