Robert Half is partnering with our client, a Fortune 500 leader in the entertainment and media industry, in the search for a Media Operations Coordinator (VOD) to support their video-on-demand content distribution operations across a portfolio of television and streaming brands.

Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $35–38/hour (W2)
Position Overview:
The Media Operations Coordinator will support end-to-end video-on-demand (VOD) distribution workflows, ensuring digital content and metadata are delivered accurately and on schedule. This role partners with internal teams and external distribution partners to maintain quality, technical compliance, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced media environment. The ideal candidate has experience in media operations, broadcast operations, content distribution, or post-production and excels at managing multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of VOD content, metadata, and programming assets to distribution partners.
- Monitor daily distribution workflows, troubleshoot delivery issues, and resolve operational problems to ensure timely content delivery.
- Manage delivery schedules, partner communications, content takedowns, and priority programming alerts.
- Oversee automated and manual media deliveries using file transfer platforms and internal distribution systems.
- Track distribution issues, maintain delivery documentation, and perform daily reporting and metadata management.
- Validate media assets, metadata, file integrity, and technical compliance with distribution specifications.
- Collaborate with Programming, Media Services, Engineering, Broadcast Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams to support successful content distribution.
- Maintain accurate databases, follow established SOPs, support content security, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in media distribution, broadcast operations, post-production, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in media operations, content distribution, broadcast operations, or post-production (internship experience considered).
- Understanding of digital media workflows, including video/audio formats, codecs, broadcast standards, and electronic content delivery.
- Experience with media transfer platforms such as Aspera, Signiant, SFTP, or similar technologies preferred.
- Familiarity with VOD workflows, metadata management, and digital content packaging is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
