We're looking for a Marketing Manager to own the end-to-end marketing for CyberSat Summit — a B2B space cybersecurity conference — with primary accountability for driving conference revenue and putting the right professionals in the room. This role will also support attendee marketing for SATELLITE x GovMilSpace, contributing to audience acquisition and registration efforts for the broader SATShow Week program.
This role reports to the Group Marketing Director and requires a firm grasp of marketing across brand, content, digital, and event strategy — and the ability to execute across all of it. There is real room here for an entrepreneurial mindset: you will set your own agenda, build the strategy, and own the outcomes.
Core Responsibilities Conference Revenue & Attendee Acquisition Own registration and revenue pacing for CyberSat Summit — monitor targets, identify gaps early, and adjust without waiting to be asked
Develop and execute acquisition strategies to convert the right prospects into registered attendees — cybersecurity practitioners, government/defense professionals, satellite and space industry professionals, and enterprise technology leaders
Build and manage referral, partnership, and list-based outreach programs to expand qualified reach
Develop audience materials and positioning that supports sponsorship and exhibit sales conversations
Plan and execute full-cycle marketing campaigns from initial strategy through post-event analysis
Own campaign calendar, timelines, and deliverables — proactively surface risks before they become problems
Write campaign copy across email, landing pages, and promotional materials with audience-specific messaging — speak to why a specific type of professional should be in the room, not just what the event is
Adapt positioning and messaging in response to registration trends, market conditions, or audience shifts
Testing & Optimization Bring a test-and-learn mindset to every campaign — form hypotheses, run experiments, report on what worked and what didn't
Analyze performance metrics and translate data into clear recommendations; don't wait to be asked what the numbers mean
Optimize email performance, registration funnel conversion, and audience targeting on an ongoing basis
Manage and optimize event registration and website experience for CyberSat
Work with internal teams and vendors to improve attendee-facing digital touchpoints
Troubleshoot platform issues and identify workarounds as needed
AI & Workflow Leverage AI tools — including Claude — to accelerate content production, campaign execution, and marketing analysis
Actively look for ways to improve your own workflows; bring ideas to the team

Requirements 3+ years of B2B event, conference, or tradeshow marketing experience, with direct accountability for registration or revenue targets
Demonstrated ability to build and execute audience acquisition strategies — not just deploy campaigns
Strong copywriting skills; can write audience-specific messaging without relying on templates
Proficiency in email marketing platforms (Omeda, Marketo, or similar) with a track record of driving registration conversion
Comfortable using data and pacing metrics to inform decisions and flag risks proactively
Experience with event registration platforms (Swoogo, CompuSystems/EventCitadel, or similar) and WordPress
Familiarity with Google Analytics, programmatic advertising, and SEO basics
Working knowledge of AI tools for marketing workflows — or a strong motivation to develop it quickly
10%+ travel to conferences and events
