Are you passionate about live entertainment and looking to work behind the scenes in a fast-paced, professional theatre environment? The Alabama Theatre is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Spotlight / Stage Technician to join our technical team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate spotlight for live performances, concerts, and events
- Assist with stage setups and breakdowns, including props, scenery, and rigging
- Perform basic stage maintenance
- Work closely with the stage manager and technical director during performances
- Follow cures accurately and maintain professional conduct during live shows
- Ensure safety and efficiency in all backstage areas
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in live theatre, stage crew, or spotlight operation preferred
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
