Lead Production Supervisor 3rd Shift (10:30pm-7:30am Sun-Thurs)

This position reports to the Production Manager
Responsibilities:

Maintain workflow by monitoring personnel, resources, and processes.
Execute the production plan by scheduling and assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and reporting results.
Ensure the timely processing of work orders and manage production schedules for all shifts.
Create and oversee a 24-hour production plan, holding all shifts accountable for meeting performance expectations.
Enforce organizational quality standards and lead quality initiatives.
Follow up on MRR/CAPA issues and implement corrective actions.
Develop, document, and maintain work instructions and best practices for production.
Supervise, coach, and discipline employees, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional growth opportunities for team members.
Train new hires and cross-train existing staff to ensure compliance and skill versatility.
Initiate and lead process improvement projects in collaboration with manufacturing engineering.
Troubleshoot and resolve workflow issues to maintain operational efficiency.
Respond to unexpected requests such as "drop-in" orders and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing workplace safety protocols and educating employees on proper equipment use.
Support key safety initiatives as defined by the Safety Committee and adhere to OSHA requirements.
Document and report data on performance metrics, safety, quality, and productivity.
Act as a liaison between production and other departments to ensure efficient communication and collaboration.
Respond to inquiries from Sales and coordinate with Production Supervisors on finished goods requirements.
Provide hands-on backup support for personnel when necessary.
Operate material handling equipment safely, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and pallet jacks.
Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Technical background with knowledge of fabrication, machine-shop operations, or assembly processes is a plus.
Proficiency in ERP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coach and guide employees effectively.
Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and monitor production processes.
Hands-on approach to leadership and problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Must tolerate long periods of standing and have the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Strong sense of urgency and results-driven mindset.
Knowledge of workplace safety and OSHA compliance is a plus.
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain punctuality and dependability.
