As an Executive Director, Brand Lead, you will play a key leadership role in advancing our Life‑Cycle Value Lab’s brands—Nplate®, Vectibix®, and Lumakras®—by driving strategy, performance, and innovation.
What you will do

In this leadership role, you will own the commercial strategy for three leading oncology brands, managing cross‑functional, high‑impact projects, and driving experimentation to unlock growth across traditional and emerging channels.
Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy & Business Performance

Lead overall commercial strategy, performance, and experimentation for Nplate, Vectibix, and Lumakras®.
Advance integrated brand strategies that maximize patient impact throughout the lifecycle.
Set portfolio priorities, performance objectives, and success metrics aligned with enterprise goals.
Continuously evaluate lifecycle, market dynamics, competitive trends, customer insights, and emerging opportunities to optimize performance.
Own portfolio forecasting, business planning, resource allocation, and investment decisions.

Test‑and‑Learn Leadership & Commercial Innovation

Champion LVL’s mission of leveraging agile operating models, modern technologies, and disciplined experimentation to accelerate product performance.
Build and shepherd a portfolio‑wide experimentation agenda that generates actionable insights and scalable commercial capabilities.
Foster a culture that embraces learning, encourages intelligent risk‑taking, and values both successful outcomes and productive failures.
Evaluate new technologies, adopt AI‑enabled capabilities, and ensure learnings are captured, shared, and scaled across the organization.

Omnichannel & Field Force Excellence

Lead an integrated promotional strategy across sales, digital, media, and emerging channels into a cohesive customer experience.
Collaborate with sales leadership to align field execution with portfolio strategy.
Optimize channel mix and engagement strategies through data‑driven decision‑making and ongoing experimentation.

Cross‑Functional Enterprise Leadership

Lead an integrated matrix team spanning Marketing, Sales, Medical, Market Access, Digital, Analytics, Patient Support, Corporate Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, and Operations.
Build strong partnerships across therapeutic areas and business units to maximize organizational learning and impact.
Drive alignment with stakeholders on strategic priorities, resource decisions, and open debate.

Team & Talent Development

Build, inspire, and develop a high‑performing team committed to innovation, accountability, and executional excellence.
Create an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and empowers individuals.
Coach and develop future commercial leaders through stretch opportunities, experimentation, and continuous learning.

What we expect of you

We seek an experienced leader who exemplifies Amgen’s leadership attributes—Inspire, Accelerate, Integrate, and Adapt—and who brings deep expertise in brand strategy, data‑driven decision‑making, and cross‑functional team leadership.
Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 6 years of marketing experience, OR Master’s degree and 10 years of marketing experience, OR Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of marketing experience.
At least 6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leading teams, programs, or resource allocation.
Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to lead at scale, including managing leaders and complex, multi‑brand portfolios with a focus on field integration.
Experience shaping strategy and influencing senior stakeholders and executives.
Track record of building and scaling modern marketing capabilities and innovation frameworks.
Proven experience driving data‑driven decision‑making and experimentation at scale.
Deep knowledge of lifecycle management and long‑term asset optimization.
Capability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast‑paced, and highly matrixed environments.
Strong executive communication, presence, and stakeholder management skills.

Base salary: $264,534 to $355,194 per year.
