JOB DESCRIPTION

The Maryland Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign is seeking an experienced Organizing Director for the 2026 general election cycle. The Organizing Director is responsible for building and managing the campaign’s statewide organizing team, organizing strategy, and its execution. The Organizing Director will report directly to the Coordinated Campaign Director. This is not an entry-level position, and all candidates should possess several cycles of campaign field experience. Candidates will need to locate in Maryland and have access to an automobile to travel around the state when necessary.

Responsibilities

Oversee and help develop the statewide direct voter contact and volunteer recruitment programs.
Manage and develop Regional Field Directors and the Training/GOTV Director, providing regular coaching, accountability, and strategic guidance.
Establish and enforce daily and weekly field metrics in coordination with the Training and GOTV Director and the data team.
Interface with all internal teams, including the data team, all necessary information has been shared across departments.
Ensure organizers have all of the necessary information including the targeting, turf, and reporting tools they need.
Manage the integration of Traditional, Impact, and Campus Field Organizers into a coherent statewide program.
Coordinate with Caucus field teams to implement the operational delineation agreed upon at the leadership level.
Lead frequent organizing team meetings and ensure consistent communication across regional teams.
Contribute to GOTV planning and execution in partnership with the Training and GOTV Director.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to activists, elected officials, volunteers, and voters from a wide range of backgrounds;
At least three cycles of significant campaign and/or field experience (Previously held Organizing Director or Deputy Organizing Director position is a bonus);
Experience with hiring, managing, and training a sizable team;
Experience developing, executing, and evaluating large-scale organizing programs;
Strong proficiency with Votebuilder/VAN, and other Democratic technologies;
Must be able to work independently and in team settings;
Must be able to work long and irregular hours as needed including weekends;
Creative thinking and a “can-do” attitude for problem-solving;
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, reliable access to a car, and a laptop
Ability to lift/carry campaign materials

About the Opportunity

The North Carolina Democratic Party (NCDP) is seeking an experienced Deputy Data Director for the 2026 Coordinated Campaign. Deputy Data Directors support the statewide data program, helping to manage and implement data tools, analytics, and reporting processes that power the campaign’s organizing, voter contact, and voter access programs.

Our data staff come from a variety of experience and backgrounds. We are looking to build a deeply diverse team, and are seeking applications from technical folks, traditional campaign staffers, and people with a passion for numbers and Dems.

This is a full-time position based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with travel as needed. This position reports to the Data Director.

What Data Deputies Do

Build and maintain automated and standalone reports (Hex, Looker, Spreadsheets) to evaluate organizing, volunteer recruitment, and voter contact programs.
Work closely with campaign departments and senior leadership to collect, analyze, and present ad-hoc insights that inform strategic decisions from raw SQL data.
Administer NGP VAN and other volunteer/voter contact tools, including maintaining security, developing training, data standards, and guidance for non-technical users.
Create evidence-based targeted volunteer and voter contact universes tailored to specific contact modes and program objectives.
Depending on resource availability, manage 1–2 data staff, including providing coaching, feedback, and fostering an inclusive and accountable team culture.
Ensure data quality with automated and manual checks, maintain data pipelines, and troubleshoot complex issues to guarantee smooth operations across programs.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Data Director to support the campaign.

Desired Skills, Abilities, and Experience

1+ cycles involved in a Democratic campaign, possibly with some experience managing staff.
Advanced experience with VAN, Mobilize, BigQuery, and Google Sheets.
Familiarity with predictive models, voter targeting, and their application to campaign programs.
Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience using SQL to pull and transform data from complex datasets.
Experience analyzing datasets using languages like R or Python.
Experience with data visualization tools (Hex, Looker Studio, Tableau).
Strong self-organizational and strategic thinking skills; able to triage and solve problems independently.
Ability to manage staff, provide mentorship, and build an inclusive team culture.

Classification

Exempt (not eligible for overtime pay); temporary position; not a bargaining unit position.
The final date of employment will be 11/15/2026.

Salary & Benefits

The pay range is $78,000 annually or $6,500 per month.
This role includes unlimited paid time off, subject to supervisor approval.
Employees also receive paid holidays, paid sick leave, and various other forms of paid leave.

The Maryland Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign is seeking an experienced Training and GOTV Director for the 2026 general election cycle. The Training and GOTV Director is responsible for the complete staff training program and the GOTV plan. The Training and GOTV Director is a senior level role that will report directly to the Organizing Director. Candidates should possess several cycles of campaign experience. Candidates will need to locate to Maryland and have access to an automobile to travel around the state when necessary.

Responsibilities :

Design and deliver a comprehensive onboarding and training program for all field staff, including role-specific training for organizers, Regional Field Directors, and other roles.
Develop and maintain all training materials and supporting documents.
Build the campaign's GOTV plan in coordination with the Organizing Director and Coordinated Campaign Director, including staging location strategy, volunteer surge plans, and Election Day operations.
Track and evaluate, in partnership with the Organizing Director, staff performance and training outcomes, flagging gaps and providing additional coaching where needed.
Coordinate with the data team to ensure GOTV targeting and universe management aligns with field program capacity.
Develop and manage the volunteer training pipeline in coordination with field organizers.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience with GOTV operations including staging locations, volunteer management, and Election Day logistics.
