Position Overview

As a Software Development Engineer at Micron, you will design, develop, and support scalable software solutions across internal and third‑party applications. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, delivering high-quality solutions that create business value while ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Responsibilities

Gather and analyze requirements from internal customers and collaborators to translate them into technical solutions
Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy applications across web, cloud, and enterprise environments
Collaborate with multi‑functional teams including product, operations, and engineering to deliver scalable solutions
Maintain and enhance existing applications while driving improvements in performance, reliability, and code quality
Implement and integrate third‑party solutions and support vendor coordination including contracts, training, and support models
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of software development experience
Proven experience developing applications using one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar
Hands‑on experience across the full software development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, and deployment
Experience working with databases and data models (SQL or NoSQL) and building scalable, maintainable systems
Demonstrated ability to debug issues, improve performance, and deliver high‑quality, defect‑minimized solutions
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in cloud‑based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and implementing CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with microservices architecture, APIs, and distributed systems design
Experience leveraging AI tools and AI‑enabled development practices to improve productivity, code quality, and system reliability across the software development lifecycle
Experience integrating third‑party applications and vendor solutions into enterprise environments
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Proven track record of driving process improvements, automation, or quality initiatives within engineering teams
