Director of National Accounts oversees sales of all purchased and assembled products and management of National Account Managers. Director applies extensive product knowledge to sell to a large complex network of accounts. Director builds relationships with account personnel including top management, buyers, operations, logistics, finance, and agency personnel. This position maximizes sales to accounts by implementing advanced business planning, forecasting, and analytical expertise. This leader works harmoniously with internal cross functional teams. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Key Responsibilities:
Drives sales results while providing best in class customer service.
Expands distribution of Source for Good Foods products.
Assists supply chain in prioritization of workflow (customer order fulfillment) and reviews status frequently.
Conducts sales analytics; uses this data plus insights, experience, and intuition to provide solutions to customer needs.
Works with Vice President, Social Enterprise & Supply Chain Solutions in sales budget development and tracks/reports actual results against that budget.
Directs National Account Managers by providing training, planning, workflow assignment, sets/completes annual performance goals/reviews, resolves issues promptly and rewards/disciplines staff appropriately.
Develop and/or approve all trade-based promotions and communications and ensure marketing/promotions are communicated to customers on a timely basis.
Works with Director, Social Enterprise Operations and Director, Supplier Management to provide information on trends, customer requests, and proper inventory levels.
Manages and sells-through close dated Source For Good Foods inventory at all warehouse locations.
Communicates sales priorities with National Account Managers and tracks/reports monthly status update to team.
Creates and presents business updates at weekly Staff meetings, quarterly Source For Good Foods Committee meetings, and on occasion, updates to Leadership Team and/or Townhall meetings when asked to do so.
Remains current on trends within the network as well as the external competitive environment.
Understands business implications of decisions and the impact to Net Revenue. Aligns work to strategic goals of the organization.
Set-up and Staff supplier booth at Feeding America conferences to promote Source For Good Foods capabilities.

When & Where:
Travel:
Occasional daytime and nighttime travel required, up to 20% of work week within the U.S.
Essential business/first responder:
In instances of a federal, state or locally declared emergency, Second Harvest is typically considered an essential business service and emergency responder. All employees may be required to perform regular or emergent duties on-site. Employee safety is balanced with business and community necessity. Some positions are more likely to be required on-site than others.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Business Administration or Marketing preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of sales background to include supervisory experience is required. Experience in food sales preferred.
