Reporting to the Director of Field Education, the Practicum Specialist identifies, prepares, and coordinates Field Education agency placements for social work students. This position advises and supports students throughout the placement process and supports the Field Department operations. This position requires occasional evening and weekend hours.
Essential Functions
Identifies and develops new Field Education agencies.
Collaborates with Assistant Directors of Field Education to review student practicum applications.
Educates students about Field Education policies, procedures, and expectations.
Identifies, places, and monitors student practicum assignments.
Educates agency representatives and Field Instructors about Field policies, procedures, and expectations.
Maintains accurate and up‑to‑date documentation and student and agency records.
Ensures the accuracy of data entry and maintenance within the Field Department databases.
Participates in student and agency evaluation processes.

Assists with Field and GSS programs and events, e.g., orientation, training, and graduation.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
MSW degree from a CSWE‑accredited social work program.
Minimum of 2 years post‑MSW professional experience in the field of social work.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills

Detail‑oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and relational skills.
Excellent professional written and oral communication skills.
Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Technical proficiency with commonly used software applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with higher education‑specific systems (e.g., Banner, Slate, Qualtrics, Tevera).

$73,000
