About the Role

The Communications Manager reports to the Director – Communications and is responsible for executing external and internal communications programs and projects, including public relations, digital communications, HR and business unit communications counsel, and promotion of G.E.H.A’s community investment strategy.
The role establishes processes and standards for execution, sets a bar for quality content that represents G.E.H.A well to both internal and external audiences, and provides counsel to C‑suite executives.
Responsibilities

Execute external and internal communications programs and projects.
Provide counsel to executives and business partners on communications best practices, event planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
Manage communication channels including web, intranet, and social media.
Develop content for internal communications collateral, white papers, web copy, presentations, annual reports, and other materials.
Conduct research and evaluation for external communications program effectiveness and report on success metrics.
Support crisis communications and issues management plans, including creation of issue‑based position statements as directed by executive management.
Participate in relevant communications/media events and conferences.
Skills

Superior writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to generate proactive ideas and recommendations.
Experience with contemporary communications tactics, including visual storytelling (video, GIFs, images, social media, infographics).
Ability to influence peers and leaders in a matrixed organization.
Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability in a rapidly changing workplace.
Proven project management skills to handle high‑volume projects with quality output.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field.
Minimum 8years of experience in a corporate communications department, PR firm environment, or related field.
Preferred experience in healthcare communications.
Work Conditions & Remote Requirements

Remote position; must provide non‑cellular high‑speed Internet (at least 30Mbps download × 5Mbps upload, latency

Must work from U.S. states excluding Alaska, Hawaii, California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, NewYork, Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Maine.
