Responsibilities

Supports Design Director as an active participant in the design and development of Men’s Cut & Sew Knitwear and Sweaters.

Responsible for key elements of the product design process, including market research, pattern development, sketching in 2D and 3D, fittings, and tech pack handoffs.

Research competitors frequently through in‑store visits and e‑commerce sites.

Help maintain organization of design materials and digital information.

Design commercially viable products for target customers and price points.

Attend design meetings, presentations, take detailed notes and conduct follow‑up tasks regularly.

Participate in fittings and work closely with Tech Design, Product Development, and Merchandising teams.

Create and maintain complete tech packs for multiple seasons simultaneously.

Approve lab‑dips, knit‑downs, strike‑offs for development, as well as pre‑production approvals for bulk production.

Occasional domestic travel may be required.

Skills

High level of creativity with a passion for design.

Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Ability to learn new computer technology, including 3‑D design and NEDGraphics.

Knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, yarn, and stitch.

Strong taste level with experience designing for full‑price and off‑price markets.

Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.

Ability to present in front of a diverse audience of cross‑functional partners.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Design or related field.

3+ years of design experience, preferably in Men’s Sweaters and Cut & Sew Knitwear.

Salary & Benefits
Base salary will be between $70,000 and $80,000 annually, at the discretion of the Company based on qualifications.
