Requirements / Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: The candidate must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Performing Arts, Educational Leadership, or a related field required.
Master's degree preferred.
Clear Multiple Subject Credential or Clear Single Subject Music or Performing Arts Credential.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in music/performing arts education, with a background in professional development, instructional coaching, or curriculum development.
Strong knowledge of K-12 arts and music education standards, curriculum, and instructional strategies.
Prior experience in a K-12 school or district-level role. Experience with Springs Charter School or other charter schools preferred.

The Music and Performing Arts Specialist will lead the development and implementation of music and performing arts integration for K-12 educators. The Music and Performing Arts Specialist will provide instructional leadership, develop resources, and deliver training and support to music elective teachers across the district. This position is supported by grant funding. Employment in this position is contingent upon the continuation of grant funding, program needs, and satisfactory job performance.
