Stage Crew
The City of Asheville is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Stage Crew in the Community & Regional Entertainment Facilities department at the Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville. This department is responsible for the maintenance and operations of facilities that host events, performances, and other community activities. The Stage Crew will assist with preparations for regional and nationally touring events held at the ExploreAsheville.com Arena and the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium.
What you'll be doing:
Perform manual labor in support of events; setting and striking staging, event equipment, courts, barricades, trussing and related gear.
Assist with event setup and teardown, including loading and unloading of trucks.
Operate a variety of hand tools, machinery, and equipment.
Follow safety protocols, including the placement of signage and cones around work sites.
Assist with minor repairs to maintain the condition of the facilities.
Provide support during adverse weather conditions or other emergencies as needed.
Communicate with supervisors and other staff to coordinate daily tasks and ensure project completion.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Rate of Pay: $21.39 per hour

Benefits: This is a part-time position without eligibility for benefits.
Work Schedule: This position shall not exceed 1000 hours in a calendar year. Available hours and schedule are variable and determined by the venue's event schedule. Shifts/hours shall be granted on a first come, first served basis, with approximately 8-16 hours available weekly.
